January 25-27, 2019 year EPSAYA public union implemented the training courses in frame of “Let’s follow traffic rules jointly” with the financial support (6300 manat) of the Youth Foundation of the Azerbaijan Republic for the 25 young participants from the 13 regions (Astara, Baku, Fuzuli, Goychay, Kurdamir, Gazakh, Lankaran, Masalli, Nakhchivan, Oghuz, Sumgayit, Shabran, Shamkir) of Azerbaijan in “Lux Lankaran” Hotel, Lankaran city. 15 boys and 10 girls have participated in the training courses. It should be noted that before the training courses 51 young applicants (35 boys and 16 girls) from 24 different regions of Azerbaijan (Aghdash, Astara, Baku, Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Gadabay, Ganja, Goychay, Khanlar, Kurdamir, Gakh, Gazakh, Guba, Lankaran, Masalli, Nakhchivan, Oghuz, Sabirabad, Sumgayit, Shabran, Shamkir, Yardimli, Yevlakh, Zardab) have applied to the organization for the participation in the training courses. Besides the staff of the organization Mr. Elbay Fataliyev, the head deputy of Lankaran city Youth and Sport Department, Mr. Emil Valiyev, the police officer – inspector of the state traffic police station of Lankaran City Region Police Department and Mr. Zaur Osmanov, the representative of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the guest sort, Mr. Ziya Ismayilov, the head of Jalilabad Regional Centre of the Ombudsman Apparatus in the expert sort, and Mr. Ehtiram Fattayev, advocate and the member of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the trainer sort have participated in the training courses, shared their knowledge and experiences with the youth and answered the questions of the participants. During the training courses the staff and the participants discussed a lot of themes in the field of traffic rules – “General information on traffic rules, Who are traffic participants? What are the rights and obligations of traffic participants? Statistical data of the UN and WHO on road traffic accidents, Statistics of road traffic accidents in Azerbaijan and their analysis, What are the daily traffic rules? Basic traffic signs and their classification, MIA: Statistics of criminal offenses committed during road traffic violations, Violation of traffic rules in daily life and investigation of their causes, Traffic incidents in daily life and assessment of their complications, Traffic accidents in daily life and discussion of their solution ways, Comparative analysis of national and international experience in the fight field against road accidents, Responsibility for violation of traffic rules – administrative penalties, Determination of the responsibility of a person who committed a traffic accident and application of law, Methods of ensuring the rights of persons exposed to road accidents, Mechanisms of enlightenment and awareness campaigns against the problem of legal illiteracy in the field of fighting traffic accidents – organization of social actions, The role of relevant agencies in the field of combating traffic accidents in Azerbaijan, The role and place of NGOs in the fight field against traffic accidents in Azerbaijan, Possible measures in the field of traffic accident prevention”. During the training courses the staff used different training methods like interactive group discussions, debates, simulations, presentations, focus group discussions, role-playing games and energizers as well as watching to the different social videos related to the topics throughout the entire session. At the end of the training courses certificates, the relevant brochures and presentations on traffic rules have been presented to all participants. In the end the participants and the staff, as well as the guests and the experts gave their views on the project and thanked to the donor – the Youth Foundation of the Azerbaijan Republic for implementing such kind of actual project for the youth. It should be noted that the project’s goal has consisted of providing countrywide enlightenment and awareness of young people and young journalists about the rights and responsibilities of traffic participants related to traffic regulations.
