May 27-28, EPSAYA public union implemented 2 days training courses within the project of “Participants of early marriage are the potential victims of human trafficking” with the financial support (4661 AZN) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the 25 young people from the 5 different regions of the Azerbaijan Republic (Astara, Bilasuvar, Lankaran, Masalli and Sabirabad) in AB Gala Hotel, Lankaran city. There were 13 female and 12 male young participants in the training course. Besides the staff of the organization, Mr. Elbay Fataliyev, the head deputy of Lankaran city Youth and Sport Department also participated in the training course and shared their knowledge and experiences with the youth. During the training course the staff and the participants discussed a lot of issues on the topic of early marriages and human trafficking – “What is early marriage, world and national statistics on early marriages, Early marriage causes, consequences and prevention: interpretation of marriage age in the national legislation, General information on human trafficking: who are the victims of human trafficking – risk groups, Causes of human trafficking and ways of attraction to human trafficking, Origin, transit and destination country definitions in the context of human trafficking, readmission and repatriation, Needs and problems of human trafficking victims, rules of behavior and communication with them, Rehabilitation of victims of human trafficking – the main principles, elimination of stereotypes against victims of human trafficking, integration and reintegration issues of victims, Ways to combat human trafficking: cooperation between Relevant agencies, NGOs and the Media, Who is migrant: legal and illegal migrants, What is migration: emigration and immigration processes – visa and deported concepts”. During the training the staff used different role-playing games, interactive group works, debates, simulations, focus group discussions and presentations and more other training methods as well as watching to the different social videos related to the topics throughout the entire session. At the end of the training course the corresponding booklets and certificates have been presented to all participants. In the end all participants thanked to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan for providing implementation of such kind of important project for the youth in the South region.
