January 06-08, 2017 year EPSAYA public union implemented the training courses in frame of “Winter school on tourism guiding for young people” with the financial support (6500 AZN) of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the 26 young participants from the 16 regions (Baku, Barda, Dashkasan, Fuzuli, Ganja, Khachmaz, Ismailly, Gazakh, Gabala, Lachin, Lankaran, Masally, Nakhchivan, Neftchala, Sumgait, Zardab) of Azerbaijan in AB Qala Hotel, Lankaran city. 12 boys and 14 girls have participated in the training courses. It should be noted that before the training courses 79 young applicants (34 boys and 45 girls) from 25 different regions of Azerbaijan (Absheron, Aghdash, Baku, Barda, Jalilabad, Dashkasan, Fuzuli, Ganja, Khachmaz, Ismailly, Gazakh, Gabala, Lachin, Lerik, Lankaran, Masally, Nakhchivan, Neftchala, Oghuz, Siyazan, Sumgait, Shabran, Shamakhy, Yardimly, Zardab) have applied to the organization for the participation in the training courses. Besides the staff of the organization Mr. Nural Safarali, the representative of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilgar Azimov, the director of Lankaran Tourism and Information Center, and Mr. Elbay Fataliyev, the head deputy of Lankaran city Youth and Sport Department in the guest sort, and as well as Mr. Vamig Babayev, the director of the “South Tourism” LLC in the trainer sort, and also Mr. Samir Akhundov, the chairman of “Intellect” Boundless Educational Youth public union have participated in the training courses, shared their knowledge and experiences with the youth and answered the questions of the participants. During the training courses the staff and the participants discussed a lot of themes in the field of tourism and tourism guiding – “What is Tourism? Who are the tourists? Tourism – as one of the most promising areas after the oil sector, Available statistics on the country's tourism industry –the state policy in tourism development, The place and role of the Tourism Information Centres in the promotion of tourism area in Azerbaijan, The situation of tourism infrastructure in Azerbaijan – existing tourism zones, The growth rate of tourism business in Azerbaijan –The role of tourism in social-economic development of the regions, The balance between tourists visiting the country and tourists out of the country,Azerbaijan's tourism potential: the countries which a large portion of budget revenues formed from tourism funds (Turkish experience), The development of tourism in Azerbaijan– attracting investment in tourism area,Priority countries for Azerbaijan on tourism sector (US experience), The problems in the field of tourism in Azerbaijan: expensive and non-professional services,Theexistingperspectivesin the field of tourism in Azerbaijan:optimization of tariffs, The opening of charter flights and additional investments,The pace of development of tourism in the world:modern problems of tourism andperspectivesof development(German experience),The World Tourism Organization forecasts andThe place of Azerbaijan in the World Economic Forum (WEF) competitiveness rankings, The develop mechanisms of the professional guides - excursion leaders – young tour guides on tourism guiding area”. During the training courses the staff used different training methods like interactive group discussions, debates, simulations, presentations, focus group discussions, role-playing games and energizers as well as watching to the different social videos related to the topics throughout the entire session. The staff also discussed the future activities of the project, especially implementing of the press conference about the project achievements, results and conclusion with the participants on February 11, 2017 in Lankaran. At the end of the training courses certificates and corresponding presentations abouttourism and tourism guiding have been presented to all participants. In the end the participants and the staff, as well as the guests and the experts gave their views on the project and thanked to the donor – the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijanfor implementing such kind of actual project for the youth.
