July 15-17, 2016 year EPSAYA public union implemented the training courses in frame of “Early marriages are the result of parental irresponsibility and lack of public censure” with the financial support (6700 AZN) of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the 26 young participants from the 16 regions (Absheron, Baku, Dashkasan, Fuzuli, Gadabay, Ganja, Khachmaz, Kazakh, Lankaran, Nakhchivan, Neftchala, Sabirabad, Sumgait, Shabran, Yardimly, Yevlakh) of Azerbaijan in AB Qala Hotel, Lankaran city. 13 boys and 13 girls have participated in the training courses. It should be noted that before the training courses 83 young applicants (36 boys and 47 girls) from 25 different regions of Azerbaijan (Absheron, Aghdam, Baku, Barda, Jalilabad, Dashkasan, Fuzuli, Gadabay, Ganja, Goranboy, Goychay, Khachmaz, Ismailly, Kazakh, Lerik, Lankaran, Nakhchivan, Neftchala, Sabirabad, Salyan, Sumgait, Shabran, Shaki, Yardimly, Yevlakh) have applied to the organization for the participation in the training courses. Besides the staff of the organization Mr. Asif Imanli and Mr. Cavad Miriyev, the Head advisors of the Department of Public-Political and Humanitarian issues of Lankaran City Executive Power, and Mr. Yalchin Ahmadov, the head of Lankaran city Youth and Sport Department in the guest sort, and also Mr. Ehtiram Fattayev, the director of the “Lankaran Law Center” LLC in the expert sort have participated in the training courses, shared their knowledge and experiences with the youth and answered the questions of the participants. During the training courses the staff and the participants discussed a lot of themes in the field of early marriages and its consequences – “General information about early marriages: The official data analysis of the UN Population Fund and the State Statistics Committee; The reasons for early marriages and social consequences of early marriages; Early marriage of girls and the major legal problems of the children born out of the official wedlock; The cases of evasion of education – violation of the right to education of the children born of early marriage; The main social problems of the children born out of the official wedlock – the exploitation of child labor; The age of marriage for girls and boys in Azerbaijan: The Family and Criminal Code interpretation; Forced marriage of the underage girls, including liability for forcing women to marry; The abduction cases of girls in the context of human trafficking and liability for it; Recognition of the fact of fatherhood and the right of residence of the mother in cases of violation of early marriages, distribution issues of property and ownership obtained during the joint marriage and litigation on alimony obligations; The problem of domestic violence improved of early marriages and liability for domestic violence; The ways to prevent of early marriages, infant and maternal mortalitys, and divorces in the society; The opportunities to study of girls, prohibition of marriage of minors and the ways to raise awareness of reproductive health; The elimination of stereotypes – the formation of the culture of choice in the family life and social life against early marriages which is considered one of the main components of the customs and traditions; The ways to combat early marriages: the development of cooperation among the Relevant agencies, NGOs and the Mass media in the direction of increasing the responsibility of parents and the public criticism in society”. During the training courses the staff used different training methods like interactive group discussions, debates, simulations, presentations, focus group discussions, role-playing games and energizers as well as watching to the different social videos related to the topics throughout the entire session. The staff also discussed the future activities of the project, especially implementing of the press conference about the project achievements, results and conclusion with the participants on August 06, 2016 in Lankaran. At the end of the training courses certificates and corresponding presentations about early marriages and its consequences have been presented to all participants. In the end the participants and the staff, as well as the guests and the experts gave their views on the project and thanked to the donor – the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for implementing such kind of actual project for the youth.
