June 25-27, 2016 year EPSAYA public union implemented the training courses in frame of “The effective fight against human trafficking goes through enlightenment of young people” with the financial support (7000 AZN) of the Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic for the 26 young participants from the 18 regions (Absheron, Aghdam, Baku, Fuzuli, Ganja, Goranboy, Khanlar, Lachin, Lerik, Lankaran, Neftchala, Oghuz, Salyan, Sumgait, Shirvan, Shusha, Ujar, Yardimly) of Azerbaijan in AB Qala Hotel, Lankaran city. 13 boys and 13 girls have participated in the training courses. It should be noted that before the training courses 83 young applicants (42 boys and 41 girls) from 33 different regions of Azerbaijan (Absheron, Aghjabadi, Aghdam, Aghdash, Aghstafa, Baku, Beylagan, Barda, Bilasuvar, Dashkasan, Fuzuli, Ganja, Goranboy, Goychay, Khanlar, Kazakh, Gabala, Lachin, Lerik, Lankaran, Mingachevir, Nakhchivan, Neftchala, Oghuz, Salyan, Samukh, Sumgait, Shaki, Shirvan, Shusha, Tovuz, Ujar, Yardimly) have applied to the organization for the participation in the training courses. Besides the staff of the organization Mr. Javidan Huseynov, the adviser of the Law Department of the head of Lankaran City Executive Power Apparatus and Mr. Yalchin Ahmadov, the head of Lankaran city Youth and Sport Department in the guest sort, and Mr. Ziya Ismayilov, the head of Jalilabad Regional Centre of the Ombudsman Apparatus in the expert sort, and also Mr. Ehtiram Fattayev, the director of the “Lankaran Law Center” LLC in the trainer sort have participated in the training courses, shared their knowledge and experiences with the youth and answered the questions of the participants. During the training courses the staff and the participants discussed a lot of themes in the field of human trafficking and illegal migration – “Information on human trafficking: human smuggling – analysis of global and local trends in human trafficking based on legal aspects and official information; Causes of human trafficking and ways of involvement in human trafficking – origin, transit and destination country, readmission and repatriation issues; Who are the victims of human trafficking: who are the potential victims of human trafficking – risk groups; Needs and problems of the victims of human trafficking; behavior/communication rules with the victims of human trafficking: Interviews with the victims – key issues; Rehabilitation of the victims of human trafficking – basic principles, elimination of stereotypes against the victims of human trafficking, integration and reintegration issues of the victims; International and national legislation for protection of the victims of human trafficking, programs and placing mechanisms of the victims in the shelters; The ways to combat human trafficking: Cooperation between Relevant agencies, NGOs and the media; Services for the victims of human trafficking in the Azerbaijan Republic; The concepts of human trafficking and forced labor, illegal actions with documents for the purpose of human trafficking; Who is the migrant: legal and illegal migrants, working migrant and potential victims – the people who are without citizenship; What is migration: emigration and immigration processes – the concepts of visa and deportation; Legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic on management and regulation of migration processes; Entry and registration rules for the foreigners to the country, the intended procedures and penalties for violations of migration legislation”. During the training courses the staff used different training methods like interactive group discussions, debates, simulations, presentations, focus group discussions, role-playing games and energizers as well as watching to the different social videos related to the topics throughout the entire session. The staff also discussed the future activities of the project, especially implementing of the press conference about the project achievements, results and conclusion with the participants on July 09, 2016 in Lankaran. At the end of the training courses certificates and corresponding booklets in the field of human trafficking and illegal migration have been presented to all participants. In the end the participants and the staff, as well as the guests and experts gave their views on the project and thanked to the donor – the Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic for implementing such kind of actual project for the youth.
