EPSAYA public union has started implementation of a new project in the name of “Organizing events to promote rights of women and increase social participation of women in Azerbaijan” in Lankaran. The project will cover the dates of August 01 – September 30, 2023. The project carried out with financial support of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Azerbaijan Republic. The amount of the project is 8000 manat. The project’s goal is to organize countrywide enlightenment and awareness of youth, especially young families in the field of promotion and encouragement of rights and social participation of women in our society by bringing up the relevance of family, women, children and gender issues in Azerbaijan, as well as to implement prophylactic and preventive measures in this direction in order to strengthen the fight against domestic violence, which leads to the breakup of families and the increase in divorces. Within the project, taking into account the geographical and gender balance, 22 young people and young families between the ages of 18-35 will be selected all over the republic based on electronic application and 3-day theoretical-practical conference will be organized for them on rights and social participation of women in Lankaran on August 25-27. The relevant results will be announced on August 20, 2023.
